THIS IS FUNNY!!!

Heber attracts a lot of out-of-state people who think that a 45 min. commute to work is no big deal so many of them live here and work in SLC. I was going into the store the other day and a man was staring at me and laughing. At first I was bugged, but he looked pretty nice so I turned and said WHAT are you laughing at. He said "oh it's just that 10 degrees is more than little cold to me--I'm new here and you're like the fifth person I've seen today without a coat on!"

I guess we are little quarky!!!

I had to post this from Jeff Foxworthy because it really hit home. I could relate to every one of them, especially the "vacation" one since I have been SOOOO excited to take a BIG TRIP to St. George this weekend!!!

FORGET REDNECKS; THIS IS WHAT JEFF FOXWORTHY HAD TO SAY ABOUT
UTAHNS!

If your local Dairy Queen is closed from September to May, you
live in Utah.

If someone in a Home Depot store offers you assistance and
they don't work there, you live in Utah.

If you've worn shorts and a
parka at the same time, you live in Utah

If you've had a lengthy
telephone conversation with someone who dialed the wrong number, you live
in
Utah.

If 'vacation' means going anywhere south of Salt Lake City for the
weekend, you live in Utah.

If you measure distance in hours, you live in
Utah.

If you know several people who have hit a deer more than once, you
live in Utah.

If you have switched from 'heat' to 'A/C' and back again in
the same day, you live in Utah.

If you install security lights on your
house and garage but leave both unlocked, you live in Utah.

If you can
drive 75 mph through 2 feet of snow during a raging blizzard without
flinching,
you live in Utah.

If you design your kid's Halloween costume to fit over
a snowsuit, you live in Utah.

If the speed limit on the highway is 75 mph
-- you're going 80, and everyone is still passing you, you live in
Utah.

If driving is better in the winter because the potholes are filled
with snow, you live in Utah.

If you know all 4 seasons: almost winter,
winter, still winter, and road construction, you live in Utah.

If you
find 10 degrees 'a little chilly' you live in Utah.

I love it. All of those are so true. Hope you have a wonderful time in St. George. Can't wait for our little trip at the end of the month.

Annie it was so much fun to peruse through your blog and see "Lydi Bug" changing so much! She's a darling little girl. I have to say~ I was used to 10 degrees, but when we went up to Utah last weekend I thought I'd never seen so much snow. I was freezing! So I'd like to let you know it's a nice 76 degrees here in AZ today. ;) Glad to be back.
